Job Title:   Grants & Fundraising Officer

Organisation: Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for people with disability in Uganda (CoRSU)

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to:   Program Management Office (PMO) Team Leader

About US:

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for people with disability in Uganda (CoRSU)was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, nongovernmental organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission). CoRSU provides Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children as well as adults with disability.

Job Summary:  To manage designated grants, design and implement fundraising initiatives, establish additional sources of funding and prepare attractive funding proposals and applications.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal applicant must hold a University degree preferably in Fundraising, Grants Proposal Writing, Project Management or any other relevant field
• At least three years of experience in funding proposal writing and a proven track record of writing successful grants.
• Project planning and management qualification.
• Multi-lingual skills.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent writing, communication, fundraising and presentation skills
• Experience working in the NGO/Not-for-Profit sector with proven track record of strategic planning, proposal writing and budgeting for institutional donors. (Experience with EU or USAID funding an advantage).
• Good understanding of disability.
• Willingness to travel as required.
