with operations in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic
Republic of Congo and South Sudan. Movit Products Limited manufactures Skin and
Hair products.

Job Summary: The Assistant Manager Supply Chain, Foreign/
International Purchases will offer support in the planning and implementation
of processes and procedures in the acquisition of company supplies, equipment
and services in the foreign market.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise junior procurement (Buyers
of foreign/ international purchases) and Logistics Staff.
Lead and supervise all foreign procurement
activities
Prepare and process purchase orders for
foreign supplies
Keenly review payment claims/invoices and
business term details before processing of payments
Order materials and services as per negotiated
and approved quotations.
Regularly analyze market and supplier
delivery patterns in order to assess present and future material
availability
Build, strengthen and manage business
relationships with key suppliers
Responsible for supplier relationship
management
Responsible for Procurement & Logistics–
Risk Management
In charge of contract Management
Lead and supervise all logistics activities
Perform any other duties as may be assigned
from time to time by the Immediate Supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for the Movit Products
Limited (MPL) Assistant Manager Supply Chain, Foreign/ International
Purchases vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and
Supply Chain management with a professional qualification of Logistics
management
At least five years of related experience in
logistics, supply chain management from a reputable
institution/organization
Proficiency in ERP
Ability to work independently and manage a
high volume work flow
Effective communication and negotiation
skills
Strong knowledge of procurement and Logistics
management regulations, laws and procedures
Strong familiarity and technical competence
with purchase and logistics management software and /or automation
High integrity and ethical standards
Strong leadership, motivation and managerial
skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Problem-solving and analytical ability
