Job Summary: The Engineering and Design Manager will support
the USAID Project in developing new
business in Uganda. The Engineering and Design Manager will work closely with
the Lead Engineer/Chief of Party(COP), USAID, design staff, and subcontractors
to ensure that projects are completed on time, to budget, and with appropriate
technical rigor on the USAID/Uganda Mission contract.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for the USAID Engineering
& Design Manager career opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree or
higher in civil engineering
Significant experience in the management of
multiple infrastructure design packages for projects including health
centers, buildings, roads, bridges, and other relevant infrastructure
Previous exposure and experience in managing
the design processand be in charge of multi-discipline designers
Prior experience as a lead designer is required
Possess excellent written and verbal English
language skills
Strong leadership experience in human resources
management and the ability to work in cross-cultural settings.
