About ICPAU:
ICPAU is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by The Accountants Act. It has the legal mandate to:
- Regulate and maintain the standard of Accountancy in Uganda.
- Prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants in Uganda.
- Conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Assistant Accountants will be responsible for assisting the Accountant in executing the accounting function of the Institute.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To handle receipts, payments and banking.
- To enter data into the Institute’s accounting system.
- To reconcile transactions.
- To prepare financial reports.
- To carry out any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Professional Accountancy Qualification. A degree or Accounting
- Technician Certificate is an added advantage.
- Experience: Will be considered but is not essential.
- Skills in Accounting and financial reporting.
- All candidates should exhibit visionary, courteous, self-driven, energetic and commitment
- They should also possess high degrees of integrity who can bring expertise in their fields.
- Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written).
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; and resourceful team builders/players.
- Good analytical and problem–solving skills.
- Be creative, innovative and sensitive to quality.
TERMS: All positions have attractive remuneration packages.
