About NUDIPU: The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) an umbrella organization promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in Uganda. In Uganda, the vision of ‘having a dignified society for all.’ NUDIPU exists for the purpose of building a unified voice for PWDs and particularly the realization of their rights and inclusive development through support and advocacy.

Job Summary: The Programme Assistant will support in the realization and implementation of the livelihoods project in Northern Uganda and in so helping NUDIPU achieve its vision as aligned above.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and support the project implementation through out the district.
The programme assistant will be charged with advocacy and mobilization of PWDs.
Coordinate and work harmoniously with the local authorities, partners and stakeholders.
Mobilize and monitor Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their participation as stakeholders in today’s egalitarian environment.
Manage and keep books of accounts for the District Unions and funding received.
Submit monthly reports in time to the program officer to track progress on project indicators.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Works and Social Administration, Community Audit Education and any related fields.
At least 2 years relevant working experience.
