Job Summary: We are seeking a Marketing & Public Relations Officer to lead our communications, boost our visibility, and strengthen our engagement with donors, partners, and communities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and PR strategies to promote Wendi’s mission and projects.
- Manage and grow social media platforms, ensuring engaging content in multiple languages (English, Luganda, ).
- Design and coordinate campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, donors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, reports, and success stories that highlight Wendi’s impact.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement activities through creative marketing.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing and PR efforts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing, PR, or communications (NGO experience is a plus).
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and content creation skills.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and social media management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Creative, innovative, and passionate about education and community development.
