Job Title: Quality Assurance and Control officer

About Organisation:

Sokoni Africa Limited is a diversified enterprise with interests in the hospitality industry as well as real estate market. The company owns and operates Quality Hill mall along Ggaba Road close to the American Embassy in Kampala Uganda. It also operates a boutique hotel, Le Petit Village, a French pastry shop, La Patisserie, and a European cuisine restaurant, Le Chateau Brasserie Belge.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance and control procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks across operations.
• Ensure products and services meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular audits and follow up on identified non-conformities.
• Work closely with operational teams to improve quality standards.
• Monitor hygiene, food safety and health & safety standards where applicable.
• Train and guide staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Prepare regular quality assurance reports for management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in hospitality, food service, manufacturing or a related industry.
• Good knowledge of quality management systems, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, reporting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and conduct inspections objectively
