Job Summary: Lead the Commercial Asset Finance business by translating strategy into sustainable growth, strong portfolio performance and exceptional client outcomes. Accountable for sales execution, profitability, risk and governance, stakeholder partnerships, operational effectiveness and the development of a capable, engaged team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Commercial Asset Finance strategy, operating model and quarterly sales plans.
- Drive profitable portfolio growth through new client acquisition, relationship deepening, cross-selling and strategic partnerships.
- Manage asset pricing, margins, revenue, costs, budgets and overall business performance.
- Build strong relationships with key clients and deliver bespoke asset and structured finance solutions.
- Strengthen end-to-end delivery by partnering with Credit, Risk, Operations and other stakeholders to improve service standards and turnaround times.
- Maintain sound portfolio quality and ensure full adherence to credit, regulatory, compliance, audit and fraud-prevention requirements.
- Use market, client and performance insights to identify opportunities, address threats and guide business decisions.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, ensuring the right capabilities, accountability and succession pipeline.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 8–10 years’ relevant experience in asset-based finance, relationship banking and a corporate or business banking environment.
- Strong track record of delivering revenue growth, managing complex portfolios and leading sales teams.
- Advanced knowledge of asset finance products, credit assessment, pricing, risk management, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholders, strategic client relationships and cross-functional delivery.
