Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church-founded private not for profit organization whose mission is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related health care services of assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
Job Summary: Manage and maintain project ERP databases to ensure the availability, performance, security, and integrity of data
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer ERP databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
- Implement and monitor regular data backup procedures.
- Manage database security, including access controls and data protection measures.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution for database systems
- Generate and maintain database reports to support project reporting and decision-making needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Support database-related aspects of ERP system upgrades and enhancements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server certification desirable
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of database administration experience
