Job Summary: Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager / Branch Operations Officer, the role is responsible for receiving cash, make payments and drive onboarding of customers to alternate channels while complying with laid down procedures in order to uphold high levels of service excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To receive cash, make payments and drive onboarding of customers to alternate channels.
- To execute the customers’ instructions relating to cash withdrawals, deposits, and any other customer instructions in an efficient manner in accordance to laid down procedures for customer satisfaction and to minimize errors and losses.
- Proper checking and counting of money over the counter to ensure that it agrees with the deposit/withdrawal slip in order to minimize cash shortages or excesses.
- Refer all cash Transactions above teller limit to supervisors for verification and approval to avoid fraud.
- Comply with KYC, AML & suspicious transactions reporting by ensuring that all documentation and transactions are in line with local and regulatory anti-money laundering and KYC requirements.
- Equip self with knowledge by reading the process flows, product information, bank policies and operations manual in order to ensure total compliance at all times with bank policies and processes.
- To grow the business and achieve own sales targets through generating new accounts by Identifying and recommending prospects for cross selling of bank services and products.
- Identify customers for quick banking and migration to other service channels.
- Report suspicious transactions in order to stop frauds and to ensure compliance to the anti-money laundering and KYC guidelines.
- Adhere to the set customer experience standards for customer satisfaction.
- Undertake additional duties and/or transfer you to other duties compatible with your skills and experience within dfcu more generally as the Bank shall in its absolute discretion determine.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree / Diploma in Banking or related Business qualification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
