Job Summary: The Transit & Execution Coordinator leads the control tower/monitoring team to ensure 24/7 real-time tracking, security, and operational oversight of company assets and freight across national and cross-border corridors. Reporting directly to the Transport Operations Superintendent, this role bridges telematics data with on-the-ground operational execution. The Coordinator is responsible for detecting transit anomalies, monitoring driver compliance (speed, fatigue, route adherence), managing geofence/border alerts, and coordinating rapid responses to emergency events, mechanical breakdowns, or security incidents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Control Tower & Live Tracking Management — lead 24/7 fleet surveillance, exception/alert response, and corridor & checkpoint tracking.
- Driver Safety & Behavioural Compliance — audit telematics (IVMS) data, enforce fatigue/HOS rules, and verify pre-trip system checks.
- Incident Response & Emergency Management — serve as first point of contact for accidents, hijack attempts, or breakdowns; escalate and report incidents.
- Performance Analytics & System Optimization — ensure tracking data integrity, generate transit reports, and drive continuous improvement of corridors and staging points.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field, with 3–5 years of experience in fleet tracking, control tower operations, or transit monitoring (1–2 years supervisory/team lead experience).
- Advanced hands-on experience with GPS/Telematics platforms (e.g., Mix Telematics, Samsara, Geotab, Wialon), IVMS software, and TMS tools required, along with strong crisis-management skills and willingness to work rotating shifts (24/7 coverage, including nights and weekends)
