Job Summary: Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, and warehouse-to-branch stock flow across all ECO-MART branches, ensuring product availability, minimizing losses, and maintaining consistent stock standards chain-wide. ECO-MART Supermarket, a multi-branch retail chain based in Seguku. is looking for an experienced Stock Manager to oversee inventory control and stock operations across all its branches.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor stock levels across all branches and central warehouse; set and manage reorder paints per branch
- Coordinate stock transfers between branches and the central warchouse based on demand and sales trends
- Conduct regular stock counts, spot checks, and full audits at each branch; reconcile with system records
- Oversee receiving, quality checks, and proper storage of goods at branch and warehouse level
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize expiry losses, especially for perishables
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records using the stock/inventory management system
- Liaise with the Procurement team on purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and stock forecasting per branch
- Investigate stock discrepancies, shrinkage, damages, or theft across branches and implement corrective controls
- Standardize stock control policies and shelf-stocking procedures across all branches
- Supervise and train branch stock/store-in-charge staff on inventory procedures
- Generate consolidated stock reports (branch turnover, aging/slow-moving stock, variance reports) for management
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and storage regulations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- A minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in stores/stock management – applicants with less than 4 years will not be considered
- Proficiency in inventory/stock management software (Zoho Inventory, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to travel between branches as needed
- Good communication and staff supervision skills
