About Organisation:

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for People with Disability in Uganda (CoRSU) is a specialized rehabilitation hospital established in 2009 as a local NGO with the major objective of providing high quality rehabilitation and surgical services to people with disabilities in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To offer maintenance and general technical support in Welding, and associated areas of Plumbing, carpentry, and Joinery works of the infrastructural and equipment maintenance works within the hospital.
• The structural integrity and functionality of hospital buildings and installations are preserved by performing regular inspections, repairs, and preventative measures, ensuring patient and staff safety.
• The functionality and safety of all hospital furniture and equipment are maintained by ensuring regular inspection and repairs;
• Maintenance records for all hospital infrastructure, furniture and equipment are regularly updated; and
• Timely and effective reporting on the status of all hospital infrastructure, furniture and equipment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A Minimum of Craft Part 2 (Advanced Craft Certificate) in brick laying and Concrete practice or carpentry and Joinery works
• Diploma in Civil or Water Engineering
• Knowledge and experience in welding and Metal Fabrication.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in a related field.
• Experience in carpentry and joinery work.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing works.
• Knowledge and skills in repair, servicing and maintenance of metallic facilities and equipment
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Engineering drawing software (CAD)
• Should be 25 years and above.
