Job Title: Architect

About Organisation:

Makerere University has received funding from the Governments of Uganda and South Korea to I implement the Improvement of Makerere University Project.

Job Summary: Review architectural designs and documents of the various proposed facilities under the project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review specifications of the proposed designs and protect equipment.
• Manage all projects’ architectural and technical records.
• Ensure th8t construction work complies with drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors for technical accuracy and quality within time and cost.
• Monitor safety compliance based on national regulations and project-specific safety plans.
• Submit project reports to the Project Engineer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Honors bachelor’s degree in architecture
• Other requirements
• Should have experience in the design and construction of educational facilities;
• The applicant shall be computer literate and knowledgeable m the use of standard architectural software, e.g.. ArchiCAD. AutoCAD.
• Experience in undertaking similar roles for similar infrastructure projects.
• Experience
• At least eight (8) years of experience as an Architect, 3 of which should be as a registered Architect with the Architect Registration Board (ARB).

• Proficient In using relevant computer packages;
• Teamwork & team building;
• Ability to multitask effectively;
