About Organisation:

The TVET Act 2025, and the Gazette of Statutory Instrument No. 25 of 2025 established the Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board (UHPAB), which is responsible for the Assessment and Certification of health professionals under Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The ACT was assented to in February 2025, by H.E. the President of the Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. 

Job Summary: To index, classify, store and assist in determining records due for wedding and disposal.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure records are properly recorded at the receiving and issuing out such that they are easily traced in case there is need.
• Tracking file movement and ensuring security of the records.
• Indexing and classifying subject files, personal files and maintaining a compliant records management system in a manner that is orderly and accessible.
• Identifying records due for weeding and liaise with Records Officer and Assistant Records Officer to ensure semi-active records are transferred to the records Centre.
• Keep the Board registry in systematic order by ensuring an up-to-date register of all active, semi-active and in-active files.
• Maintain records of all the received mails and documents for filing in respective locations.
• Maintain and manage the Board’s Archives.
• Monitor file movement and carry out assessment of files for weeding and disposal.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Records and Archives Management or Library and Information Science or Information science from a recognized University.
• Experience: Not necessary

• Indicate title of the post on the application form and reference number against the post.
• Select one or two posts which you qualify.
• Relevant Documents required include the following:
• Certified Academic documents (Master’s Degree Certificate and Transcript, Post Graduate Diploma Certificate and Transcript, Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Transcript, Diploma Certificate and Transcript, UACE, UCE).
• Certified Registration Certificates and valid Practicing Licenses for health workers who are required by law to register with relevant Professional Councils.
• Evidence of training and practice in specialized areas where applicable.
• Letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion where applicable.
• National and Current Institutional Identity Cards.

Priority should be given to only the relevant academic documents in the job specifications.
