Job Title: Reinsurance Accountant (Fresher Jobs)

The Tanzania operations were established six years.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile reinsurance premiums, claims, and commissions.
- Accurately record reinsurance transactions, including proportional and non-proportional treaties.
- Prepare and submit journal entries for reinsurance-related activities.
- Reconcile accounts payable/receivable for reinsurance balances.
- Prepare reinsurance bordereaux for premiums, commissions, and claims.
- Perform reconciliations related to facultative and other programs.
- Prepare quarterly reinsurance statements for reinsurers.
- Reconcile reinsurers’ statements and ledger balances.
- Manage reinsurance balances with treaty and facultative participants.
- Calculate and record reinsurance-related adjustments like premium adjustments and profit commissions.
- Review and interpret reinsurance contracts for accurate financial treatment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in reinsurance or insurance accounting preferred.
- Knowledge: Reinsurance accounting principles and contract structures.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
