We are a small scale farm dedicated to revolutionizing greenhouse farming practices. Our mission is growing healthy and sustainable tomatoes and sweet peppers for commercial purposes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation and guidance on greenhouse farming techniques for tomato and sweet pepper cultivation.
- Develop and implement crop management strategies to optimize yield, quality, and resource efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess crop health, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the farm to design and implement tailored cultivation plans, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control protocols.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, research developments, and best practices in greenhouse agriculture.
- Provide training and support to farm staff on crop-specific techniques and protocols.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
- Proven experience in greenhouse tomato and sweet pepper farming, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
- Have experience of having worked in the farm
- In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, greenhouse technology, and integrated pest management practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and address crop issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Flexibility to travel to various farm locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with controlled-environment agriculture systems.
- Familiarity with data-driven farming techniques and precision agriculture tools.
- Experience working with small-scale farmers or community-based agriculture initiatives.
