Job Summary: Working closely with the Credit Administration Manager the job holder will ensure that the institution is safeguarded against loss by ensuring accuracy, completeness and credit worthiness of PayG Lending proposals, recommend appropriate risk mitigation mechanisms and setting up relevant sanction conditions guided by pre-set customer surveys and credit scoring.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Countercheck and approve all PayG applications analyzed by credit administrators and ensure they are processed within the acceptable timelines.
- Verify Compliance to PayG lending policy through customer survey to inspect ability to pay, credit scoring, fulfillment of PayG contract requirements and proper documentation to ensure PayG credit risk is adequately mitigated.
- Review all existing PayG customer relationships and make recommendations to the management to aid quality PayG customer lending.
- Prepare drafts and or recommend proposals for review of any PayG lending product facilities and guidelines for further review and further approval by the management.
- Follow up with the Sales agents and credit administrators to ensure fulfillment of ALL PayG sanction conditions and other agreements prior to installation of PayG products.
- Recommend policy reviews for customer service and PayG risk management improvement based on customer feedback, experiences and industry trends.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Business related degree (CPA 2 an added advantage).
- Three years of experience in credit analysis in a Consumer/Micro financing and or PayG lending environment, debt collection and recovery.
- Knowledge of alternative credit appraisal mechanisms and substitute securities like solar units/assets etc.
- Capacity and willingness to work for long hours and within strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good leadership skills.
- Knowledgeable on the financial services, Micro Finance and consumer lending sectors is a must.
