Our client is a leading manufacturing company and committed to delivering high-quality products to our clients across the globe. As we expand our international presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Export Manager to lead our export operations.
Job Summary: The Export Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our export business and maximize sales opportunities in international markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international trade regulations, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successfully managing export operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase export sales and market penetration.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, conduct market research and analyze competitor activity.
- Establish and maintain relationships with international distributors, agents and partners to drive sales growth.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of trade with customers ensuring profitability and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with production, logistics and finance departments to ensure timely delivery of products and efficient export processes.
- Manage all aspects of export documentation including invoices, shipping documents and export licenses.
- Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations and ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations.
- Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to the sales team regarding international markets, customer requirements and export procedures.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events to promote the products and expand the network of contacts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business or related field.
- Possession of a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Level 3 CIPs is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in export management or international sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of trade regulations, customs procedure and documentation requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international partners.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and export management software.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
