Metropolitan International University (MIU) is a private university that was established by the National Council for Higher Education in November 2016, in accordance with the laws of Uganda. MIU is accredited to run academic programmes at all levels of the Higher education system.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline; Professional certification (e.g. Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is an added advantage.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perf or other language
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Excellent communication skills
