Job Title: Manager – Legal & Regulatory

Reports to: Senior Manager – Regulatory & Compliance

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the compliance of MTN Uganda with regulatory requirements.
- Drive acquisition of key regulatory approvals and resources
- Implement MTN Uganda regulatory and compliance agenda.
- Provide regulatory support to local teams within operations.
- Prepare reports to management, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage, develop, and sustain effective working relationships with various stakeholders with a view of advancing company interests.
- Respond to inquiries of a regulatory nature from internal and external stakeholders.
- Carry out any other obligation or duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the MTN Uganda Manager – Legal & Regulatory job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in law (Honors) from a recognized University
- Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Enrolled Advocate of the High Court
- At least five years of experience with at least 3 years as an Advocate in a busy Law Firm or having worked as an in-house counsel in reputable organization.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Must possess exceptional writing skills.
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Ability to think strategically and implement plans and strategies to overcome complex business and industry challenges.
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be resourceful and take initiative even with minimal direction.
