Job Title:    Claims Assessor and Services Clerk

Reports to: Claim & Servicing Supervisor

Job Summary:  The Claims Assessor and Services Clerk will investigate and vet claims

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Manage and monitor customer claims records
  • Work hand in hand with other team members to offer the best customer experience to the customers
  • Handle all customer queries telephonically and in writing
  • Assess and recommend the payment for claims.
  • Monitor and manage the adherence to the company service level agreements for customer experience;
  • Investigate client queries within the agreed service level agreement and ensure that the client receives timeous feedback;
  • Analyze and recommend ways to always improve the customer experience and the claims process
  • Escalate client queries to the relevant department or stakeholder;
  • Provide accurate information and advice to the clients and stakeholders in order to ensure that the client receives the appropriate after sale services;
  • Make recommendations to improve client service and ensure fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility;
  • And to take on extra responsibilities and duties as required and shared by Line Manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Certificate in nursing is of an added advantage
  • Three years of experience in clinical nursing
  • Qualification in insurance (COP, CII)
  • Understanding of the claims & servicing process
  • Ability to speak at least 2 additional languages other than English
  • Able to multi task.
  • Drive for results.
  • Leads Change and Innovation;
  • Interpersonal skills
