Job Title: Electrician (Fresher Job Opportunities)

Established 30 years ago as Biyinzika, BPIL has grown from small beginnings to a company with over 9?5 employees stationed in over 9 production sites. BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over 40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand retailed directly through our 30 Pearl chicken shops. Pearl also supplies leading wholesale, retail and food service customers with quality Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) certified products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of electrical elements to machinery at the factories, farms and other BPIL locations including, lights among other electrical equipment.
- Trouble shooting and investigating any electrical problems or challenges at company sites.
- Maintenance of existing electrical machinery at all BPIL locations as per the set maintenance schedule
- Record keeping and stock taking of electrical related tools and equipment.
- Development of boqs and quotations in electrical related works
- Work to a professional standard by ensuring and implementing Health and Safety SOPS.
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant should have a Certificate in Electrical and valid class D ERA wiring permit
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in similar/ relevant position.
- Knowledge & Competencies: Electrical Operations Knowledge, Interpersonal and Communication skills, Detail Oriented and able to work with a high Degree of Accuracy
