Mapenzi Grill Restaurant is a take away and food delivery restaurant located on Plot 23 Bukoto Street, Kamwokya, Kampala.

Job Summary:  The Cost Accountant will oversee and analyze cost expenditures and purchases for Mapenzi Grill. They will review services and goods, record data, and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with other supervisors to coordinate all aspects of stock deliveries and keep accurate and up to date records.
• Strict stock control and management
• Guide management on the most appropriate course of action based on cost efficiency and capability
• The Cost Accountant will also be tasked with the reconciliation of supplier accounts.
• Daily kitchen reconciliation and profitability analysis
• The incumbent will be tasked understanding of the company budgets and profit and loss accounts.
• To assist with weekly ordering so as to ensure that stock levels are maintained and any special order for functions etc. are placed in a timely manner.
• Adheres to Company’s performance management guidelines at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant should have studied or acquired experience in business management with a major in accounting practice.
• Excellent computerized accounting knowledge and high levels of proficiency using spreadsheets.
• The applicant should have attributes to work with several suppliers such as market vendors that supply fresh food stock
• Previous experience with a recognizable company is an added advantage
• Self drive
• Fast leaner
• Excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy
• Leadership skills
• Excellent numerical skills
• Training skills
• Expert IT knowledge on operations of POS
• Initiative for innovation
