Urbach Hacker Young International Limited, a UK company. UHY Thakkar &
Associates is an Audit and Consultancy firm in Uganda, established in 2014. The
firm specialises in audit, assurance and tax advisory as well as consultancy in
the free zones, mainland and offshore locations, both in Uganda and globally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To manage engagements, overseeing in-charge and audit assistants
work ensuring compliance with client, statutory and UHY Thakkar &
Associates Audit Methodology requirements, appreciating relevant, ensuring
the effective and timely delivery of engagements.
Oversee and direct the budgeting, planning, co-ordination and
control of engagements in accordance with client, statutory, UHY Thakkar
& Associates Audit Methodology and business requirements to ensure
effective service delivery and maximised recover ability.
Direct, coach and mentor Assistant Managers / Audit Seniors to
assist them in the effective delivery of engagements and the direction of
their subordinates ensuring cost effective, timely completion and
effective service delivery to the required standard on each engagement.
Nurture and seek worthwhile relationships with clients, business
departments and staff, for the sharing of information and to identify and
progress current and future Audit requirements.
Assist the Partners in monitoring the effectiveness of Audit
services delivered, providing feedback and reflection on the quality of
service accordingly.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicant must hold a Professional accounting qualification i.e.
Full membership of ICPAU.
Five years of audit experience with an Audit firm registered with
ICPAU.
Experience in Oil, Gas and Mineral exploration sector is an added
advantage.
Knowledge of Caseware working papers is preferred.
Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and
techniques
