Bamzee Engineering Company Ltd (BECL) is a private limited liability
company incorporated in March 2002 as Bamzee Electrical Company Limited and
rebranded as Bamzee Engineering Company Limited in 2018. Bamzee Engineering
Company Limited is an EPC and O&M contractor company in the field of Civil
Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering related works.
In Electrical Engineering field, BECL has designed and constructed Electrical Power
lines, constructed electrical Substations 33/11kV up to 15/20MVA, installed
Gen-sets and done MEP under building services. BECL delivers complex projects
on time and within budget while adhering to safety and quality control
measures.

Job
Summary: The Electrical Engineer for our projects shall perform technical work
including design, resource and technical scheduling, supervision of
technicians, installation and testing of Electrical Equipment at various sites.
The Electrical engineer shall have a wide engineering knowledge base and keep
abreast with the latest developments in the field to enable him/her to design
and evaluate the condition of electrical installations while ensuring safety
and quality procedures are adhered to.

Key
Duties and Responsibilities:

Design,
plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise
subordinates, maintain records and files and prepare reports.
Maintain
records on electrical jobs and assign to appropriate personnel.
Assist
in coordinating job assignments and liaison with the other stakeholders
including contractors on jobs.
Maintain
knowledge of electrical materials in warehouse
Advise
electrical foremen of technical problems concerned with installation,
modification and repair of electrical assignments.
Inspect
work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical
assignments.
Recommend
procedure revisions when necessary to fully utilize assigned personnel and
equipment.
Carry
out management reporting on the status of projects periodically.
Serves
as a key resource for safety related issues with the goal of
meeting/exceeding OSHA requirements for a safe workplace.
Serve
as a key resource for the Quality Management Standard with the goal of
continuous improvement to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
Any
role as delegated by the Projects Manager.

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

The
ideal applicant for the BECL Electrical Engineer job placement must
hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Postgraduate diploma in project planning and management and an ERA class B
certificate is an added advantage.
At
least three years’ experience in the power sector as an Engineer with a
contractor or Electricity Utility Company.
Excellent
knowledge regarding Electrical substation equipment, power lines and
electro-mechanical equipment.
Excellent
observation and analytical skills.
A
sound knowledge regarding safety and quality measures.
Excellent
troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
Ability
to work under stress and be on call at any time.
Good
leadership, communication and motivation skills.
Ability
to work in a team hands on as well as lead it.
Must
be highly organized, systematic and precise in work.
Good
computer skills in related software application like AutoCAD, Ms Visio, Ms
Project, and Ms Excel.
