supporting operations in Health Safety & Environment (HSE) matters and
ensuring that all works are performed as per the Company’s HSE Management
System and regulations.
- Ensuring the compliance with the Company’s health & safety
regulations, assist the methods team with the review of the Company’s HSE
Management systems, supporting operational entities and Contractors during
the preparation and execution phase (risk assessment, review and
validation of HSE documentation, implementation of HSE Management System,
audits…), introducing the implementation of safe working practices and
procedures to operations entities and contractors - Coordinating HSE Committee on sites, organization of the HSE events
participating in the HSE evaluation during the call for Tender process,
supplier quality meetings and end of contract close-out meetings - The incumbent will coordinate with the Methods and Site Operations
team to test and continually update the site contingency plan. - Ensure all incidents, anomalies and near misses are reported,
investigated and corrective actions are followed up and closed as well as
all operational actions resulting from emergency exercises - Actively participate in management review meetings and contribute to
actions to improve the HSE Policy and HSE management system
- The applicants for the TOTAL Lead Safety Engineer job opportunity
should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health Safety &
Environment (HSE) or equivalent - At least five years’ experience in HSE supervisory positions, 3
years of which in the Oil & Gas upstream sector with various
operational specialties including risk management and Audit processes. - In-depth understanding of HSE policies and HSE management systems
- Good HSE culture
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
