Job Summary: The Highway/Design Engineer will assist the
teams in preparing expressions of interest, technical and financial proposals,
carrying out detailed designs and construction supervision of projects in the
transportation section covering roads, bridges, railways and airports. In
addition, the person will carry out planning, coordination, preparation of
designs, contract documentations and management of designs and supervision of
works to design standards and specifications. The Highway Design Engineer should
have project management experience. When acting as project manager, the Highway
Design Engineer is responsible for project planning, designs and operation,
including time, economy, deliverables and quality of projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must be a Ugandan Citizen in possession of a
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university; A
master’s degree will be an added advantage; - Should, as a minimum be a registered member of the Uganda Institute
of Professional Engineers and Engineers Registration Board - ERB of Uganda;
- At least eight years of work experience and conversant with the
various highways designs standards in addition to the preparation of
technical and financial proposals for engineering consulting services and
construction supervision of paved roads; - Proficiency in Computer Aided Design Software like Bentley lnroads
power civil SS2 Microstation Bentley or AutoCAD or Civil3D is an added
