Regulatory Authority manages retirement plans for Uganda’s public
workforce by serving as the fiduciary stewards of the contributions and
disbursements of the pension trust funds. In partnership with the state’s
public employers, we help ensure that they can offer their employees a
comprehensive retirement plan that is responsive to their needs and is
equitable to all stakeholders.

- Regulate
the establishment, management and operation of retirement benefits schemes
in Uganda in both private and public sector - Supervise
institutions which provide retirement benefits products and services - Protect
the interest of member and beneficiaries of retirement benefits schemes - Promote
the development of the retirement benefits sector - Provide
for licensing for custodians, trustees, administration and fund managers
of retirement benefits schemes, the appointment of inspectors and interim
administrators.
- The
ICT Officer maintains, advises on upgrades and repairs a wide range of ICT
equipment. - Rectify
problems relating to the malfunction of ICT equipment including software. - Respond
to ICT Support requests in a timely fashion to ensure minimum disruption - Assist
with the administration of the telephone system. - Install
and upgrade both systems and application software as required adhering to
all licensing regulations. - Maintain
an inventory of computer hardware and software (including licences). - Perform
preventive maintenance duties on items of ICT hardware, including the
cleaning of equipment. - Report
any suspected security breaches to the Manager ICT - Monitor
and maintain general ICT consumable stock to ensure adequate supplies are
available in a timely and cost effective manner - Implement
backup, virus protection and security procedures - Note
any risks to ICT systems and suggest precautions to the ICT Systems
Manager. - Monitor
and keep a log of all breakdowns and alterations to the network - Perform
any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- The
ICT Officer must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Information Technology or Telecommunications
Engineering - At
least a year’s experience in the ICT sector
