Job Summary: Norvik Hospital Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced IPD In-Charge to oversee the In-Patient Department (IPD) operations. The IPD In-Charge will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of patient care, staff coordination, and department administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital management, patient care, and team leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the IPD, ensuring high standards of patient care and departmental efficiency. Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in line with hospital policies.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise IPD staff, including nurses, doctors, and support personnel. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and address any staffing issues to ensure optimal team performance.
- Patient Care: Ensure that all patient care activities meet the hospital’s quality and safety standards. Monitor patient progress, address patient concerns, and collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement care plans.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of patient information, departmental activities, and inventory. Prepare and submit reports on department performance, patient outcomes, and any incidents as required.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor infection control practices and other safety protocols.
- Resource Management: Oversee the management of departmental resources, including medical equipment and supplies. Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of necessary items.
- Patient and Family Communication: Serve as a point of contact for patient and family inquiries, providing updates on patient status and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Professional nursing license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within an inpatient setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
