About US:
The Office of the
Prime Minister (OPM) is the Leader of Government Business in Parliament and
responsible for the coordination and implementation of Government Policies
across Ministries, Departments and other Public Institutions.
Job Summary: The Logistics Officer is responsible for effective
and efficient office administration and management of the Office, including
logistics management, preparing and processing of financial transactions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare local purchase orders (LPOs) and vehicle job cards and ensure
all procurements are properly contracted; - Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics
operations efficiently. - Maintenance of the project fleet and its deployment.
- Managing and accounting for fuel issued to all company vehicles and
authorized private vehicles - Manage receiving, checking, storage and dispatch of building
materials, iron bars, tyres and other inventories - Ensure transport availability for the project at all times by
optimizing the company vehicles and the driver - To manage, supervise and provide security to the project property
- Issuing stock to user units
- Getting quotations/pro forma from providers
- Posting issuing notes in the management information for record
purposes - Creating space and maximizing the available space for incoming stock
- Supervising work within the store and preparing a month store
management report - Keeping the store tidy and picking items for user units
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supen/isor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicant should be a holder of an Honours Bachelor’s degree in
Commerce or Business Administration or Logistics & Transport
management from a recognized Institute - A minimum of three years of experience in a busy a reputable
organization in administration or logistics management. - Age: 23 – 45 years
