ASIGMA is a group of three subsidiaries – Advisory, Data, and Capital that leverages data and technology to add value to organisations. Its Advisory arm offers investment advice, develops investable business cases, and provides Private Sector support and Technical Assistance; some of our development clients include USAID, DFID, AfDB, and WBG IFC. Its Capital arm is currently managing projects in alternative investments (Private Equity, Real Estate, and Energy) that include Manufacturing and Shallow Geothermal Exploration, among others. Lastly, its Data arm aids the Advisory and Capital arms through digital data capture and analytics, market research, and insights to allow for actionable decision making but also provides project and data management services to external clientele.

 

Job Summary: As a Product Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating product performance, customer behavior, and market trends to provide actionable insights that drive product development and business strategies.





Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Requirements Analysis

  • Gather and analyze client requirements through conducting interviews, surveys, and focus groups to understand client needs and expectations.
  • Analyze existing documentation and data to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications.
  • Define system behavior and user interactions.
  • Create use cases and user stories to illustrate system functionality.
  • Prioritize and validate requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements based on business needs and feasibility.
  • Conduct usability testing and user reviews to ensure requirements meet user needs.
  • Validate requirements against business objectives and technical constraints.

Systems Design

  • Design detailed user interfaces.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to illustrate user interactions.
  • Apply design principles for usability and accessibility.
  • Consider user experience and user feedback throughout the design process.
  • Document design decisions and trade-offs.

Project Management

  • Plan and execute projects using Agile methodology.
  • Define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
  • Break down projects into manageable sprints.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
  • Manage project resources and track progress.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders regularly.
  • Adapt to change, maintain clear communication, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities.

Process Creation and Adoption

  • Identify and analyze and document existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to understand process challenges and opportunities.
  • Design and implement new processes that align with business objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Promote process adoption and change management.

Testing and Documentation

  • Utilize testing tools and methodologies to ensure system quality.
  • Develop technical documentation for developers and maintainers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in product analysis, data analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI and product management tools like, JIRA, Trello, Asana.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
