Job Summary: We are looking to hire a qualified Graphic Designer in Kampala, Uganda, that will be responsible to create engaging and on-brand graphics for variety of social media. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of social media pages.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
- You need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
- Developing concepts, graphics and layouts, including making decisions about fonts, images, readability and viewers’ needs.
- Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
- Work with content officer and creative director to produce final design.
- Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
- Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
- Test graphics across various media.
- Amend designs after feedback.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
- keeping up to date with design and software trends.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus.
- Proven graphic designing experience.
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
