Job Summary:  We are seeking a creative and talented Architect to join our team at GLF. The Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing architectural projects across our farm facilities, including new construction, renovations, and landscape enhancements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of GLF’s infrastructure while promoting sustainable design principles and enhancing visitor experiences.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural designs, concepts, and plans for new construction, renovations, and landscape enhancements at GLF, ensuring alignment with project goals, objectives, and budget constraints.
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate existing conditions, topography, and environmental factors, identifying opportunities and constraints for design development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including farm managers, engineers, and environmental specialists, to integrate sustainable design principles and eco-friendly practices into architectural projects.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, renderings, and visualizations using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, including structural engineers, MEP engineers, and landscape architects, to integrate technical requirements and specifications into architectural designs.
  • Develop specifications and materials selections for construction projects, researching and recommending appropriate materials, finishes, and construction methods.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, tracking project progress and performance to ensure timely completion and within budget constraints.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors, resolving technical challenges and ensuring adherence to design intent and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and field reviews to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, change orders, and record drawings, for record-keeping and compliance purposes.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Proven experience in architectural design and project management, preferably in the hospitality, tourism, or eco-tourism industry.
  • Strong design skills and creativity, with a passion for sustainable design principles and environmental stewardship.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and architectural design tools for drafting, modeling, and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Commitment to sustainable design practices, energy efficiency, and environmental conservation in architectural projects.
  • Attention to detail and quality, with a focus on delivering designs that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work outside regular business hours as needed to support project deadlines and farm operations.
