Job Summary:  The Security Operations Center Analyst will manly monitor, respond and proactively manage security operations center (SOC) in line with the Bank IT Security

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, document, and report on any information security incidents based on event data from firewalls, WAF, IPS, and other sources.
  • Reviews alerts, threat intelligence, and security data of security tools based on traffic patterns to enable avert further risks from incidents
  • Identify, scan, and analyze vulnerabilities on the bank network through the SIEM and real time scans to enable safety in the bank network
  • Investigate suspicious activities, contain, and prevent them they cause.
  • Monitor log streaming continuity while Perform triage of incoming issues using ticket-tracking system.
  • Implement and manage SOC monitoring and analysis tools:
  • Check systems are prone to attacks or vulnerabilities, or they conform to the bank standards as stipulated by the I.T Service Delivery Policy
  • Provide support other business units bank wide.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related area Professional (Minimum)
  • CISSP/CEH/CISM/Security+/CSA Two (2) years’ experience in a role related to information security monitoring and vulnerability management in a large Stewardship
  • Two years of experience in IT Security field
  • Knowledge of networking, system administration, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, Linux /UNIX/Windows administration skills).
  • Skills in log analysis, forensic investigation, and problem-solving to identify and respond to security incidents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team and with other stakeholders
  • Commitment to ongoing education, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends
  • Curiosity, passion for cybersecurity, attention to detail, and resilience under pressure
