Job Title:  Agent Banking Officer  (Fresher Jobs)

Job Summary:  The Agent Banking Officer will drive transactions at the agent location by ensuring optimal service delivery by the agents, their outlets, and branches while at the same time organizing and conducting frequent training for agents and merchants.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete fist level on boarding of quality recruited agents.
• Training newly on boarded agents using the banks training manual.
• Ensuring that agent location are branded for visibility.
• Ensuring that agents have the required merchandising materials such as transaction logbooks/receipt slips and ensure their effective usage.
• Monitoring the performances of agents daily to ensure that every agent carries out a transaction and escalate any challenges for resolution to relevant stakeholders.
• Promoting the bank and its services whilst channelling customers to agent locations.
• Carry out first level maintenance of agent banking equipment eg POS and logbooks and Mobile phone trouble shooting.
• Support the business units in the identification of potential agents, coordinate joint
• Reporting performance of agents including growth to show exists/entry of agents

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A business degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Management, or any relevant field.
• At least two years of experience in banking, preferably progressive experience in sales, relationship management.
• Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Business development and negotiation skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound understanding of laws and regulations relating to agent banking in financial institutions
