Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Greet customers as they enter the shop and assist them in finding the products they need. Answer any questions they may have about products, pricing, or usage.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the products available in the shop, including fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, gardening tools, and equipment. Stay updated on new products and industry trends.
- Sales: Actively promote products to customers and provide recommendations based on their needs. Upsell additional items when appropriate to increase sales.
- Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment securely.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed. Keep shelves, displays, and product storage areas neat and organized.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Work to resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance: Always ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulations related to the handling of agricultural products.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a certificate or diploma in Agriculture or any other related field
- Certificate in safe pesticide handling and application is a must
