About the client
Our client in the Telecommunication sector seeks to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the vacancy above.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for BSS applications and product operations.
- Troubleshoot issues, capture logs, and identify root causes for BSS application problems.
- Communicate with clients regarding technical aspects of the applications.
- Fulfill new function or business improvement requirements through product configuration.
- Maintain Linux backend/file system, perform database analysis, and install new application patches/releases.
- Install, configure, and maintain testing beds, working with other IT vendors as needed.
- Monitor and reconcile database performance to predefined thresholds and take appropriate actions.
- Implement established policies and procedures for database management.
- Perform application automation and script writing, and maintain IT operation tools.
- Ensure accurate documentation of standards, guidelines, and procedures for application management.
- Train new employees on basic troubleshooting methods.
- Prepare system health and performance reports.
- Implement and support audit and compliance regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science.
- Minimum 2 years of IT industry experience, with at least 1 year in billing/charging on telecom systems.
- Experience with Oracle or MSSQL databases.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Linux, UNIX, or AIX).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, or Java.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to provide 24×7 service supervision through urgent office support and on-call support.
