Job Summary: We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Officer (Generators) to ensure Watoto facilities Generators are well maintained to provide users with excellent, secure, conducive, comfortable environment and value for money for the Watoto Church ministries.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of all Watoto Generators
- Conduct inspections of all Watoto Generators to identify needed services and repairs.
- Maintain all Watoto generator houses as per required standards and prepare parts list for workshop jobs utilizing SIS Parts System.
- Manage and coordinate emergency and regular repairs to all generators.
- Minimize rectification work by ensuring correct procedures are employed during assembly and maintenance work.
- Employ diagnostic equipment to evaluate generator engine performance and condition recognized different procedures and service information.
- Ensure company assets i.e. tools and equipment are maintained to an acceptable standard, ensuring all tools are available for inspection when requested.
- Maintain the general administration of the maintenance program.
- Support with the preparation and implementation of generator maintenance and improvement project plans.
- Establish preventative maintenance schedules for Generators.
- Assist in the management and supervision of new generator installation projects.
- Participate in the management of contracts.
- Maintain and regularly updates inventories of all generators and parts.
- Prepare clear and concise service reports, SIMS; DSR as required for both customer and Management.
- Supervise contractors and volunteers to ensure a positive and healthy work environment
- Promote workplace health and safety compliance based on established guidelines.
- Assign tasks and ensure schedules are maintained.
- Supervise contractors and ensure performance is based on the agreed terms and conditions.
- Take corrective action when required.
- Preparation of reports on generator maintenance and repair activities
- Prepare activity report and work order reports.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical engineering, or any other relevant qualification
- Five years of practical working experience in generator maintenance repairs.
- Driving licence in Uganda.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
- Must be willing to live up to organisational values, confident and
- Should possess the ability to write and present analytical and informative reports.
- Should be a good communicator, must have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, trust, good work ethics and sound judgement.
