Job Summary:  As a Senior Reconciliation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining effective reconciliation processes and identifying discrepancies, ultimately contributing to the financial health and success of our organization.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex reconciliations of financial data, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Develop and implement reconciliation procedures and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior reconciliation staff, assisting with training and development initiatives.
  • Generate detailed reports and analysis to communicate reconciliation findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements related to reconciliation practices, implementing changes as needed to ensure compliance.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in reconciliation roles within a corporate finance or accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using reconciliation software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership experience preferred, with the ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
