The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) is mandated to coordinate, oversee and guide agricultural research in Uganda. Over the years, NARO has generated technologies and products with Intellectual Property (IP) and commercial potential guided by relevant policies under her mission of innovating for sustainable agricultural transformation.

 

Job Summary:   The Land Manager will be tasked with ensuring the security of NARO’s land assets by providing technical leadership in the management of land matters.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree Surveying, Geo-informatics, Physical Planning, Land Use Management or Natural Resources with a bias in land use, from a recognized Institution.
  • Master’s Degree in any of the above-mentioned fields from a recognized Institution.
  • Knowledge in either Surveying or Cartography is an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in coordinating issues of land surveys, titling, acquisition and appropriation in a government institution is an added advantage.
  • Must have formal training in the field of GIS and Remote Sensing and demonstrable experience working with mapping software or Autocad for land management.
  • Must be conversant with institutional and national legal frameworks and mechanisms on land governance and management.
  • Age Limit: Applicants should not be more than 55 years of age.
