About the LGT Impact Fellowship
As part of LGT Venture Philanthropy’s and Lightrock’s strategic efforts to scale positive impact, the LGT Impact Fellowship was established to provide additional know-how and capacity to portfolio organizations and companies. Each year a limited number of professionals are nominated to work full-time for one year with the organizations and companies supported by LGT Venture Philanthropy and Lightrock in Africa, India and Latin America as per the above job description. LGT Impact Fellows are part of an enriching cohort of like-minded Fellows. They benefit from various program activities, including a 1-week in-person kick-off workshop, webinars, access to the network and know-how of LGT Venture Philanthropy, etc.
About the Fellowship role: 4G Capital is building the management and technical capacity for sustained growth of its financial inclusion products in Uganda. An integrated technology, product and talent transformation plan (already underway) must be delivered in 2024 while growing the current loan book and maintaining high portfolio quality. The Commercial Analyst/Advisor/Program Manager will support the growth of the business with risk based analysis and commercial analysis to inform decision making and execute program change.
Fellowship location: Uganda – Kampala – Bugolobi
Employment: Full-time, one-year Fellowship
Starting Date: As soon as practicable; before budget season (September start) latest would be helpful.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management and control of the forecasted program changes
- Support to critical relationships with external stakeholders: suppliers, government agencies, regulators and local partners
- Business oversight of key programs and internal stakeholders (Product/ data/ tech / ops / Finance)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in commercial project / program management and governance
- Proven managerial experience through change programs
- Technical training, KSE, Prince II PM, LEAN, SIGMA etc.
Must Haves:
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Leadership, management, planning and organizational skills
- Strong analytical abilities and problem resolution skills
- High integrity team player, self-starter and functional problem solver
- Commitment to ethical, sustainable commercial business approach and company success
