Job Summary: The Parts Coordinator – Equipment will effectively coordinate the overall performance of the spare parts business to increase business profitability and achieve company goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure turnover profitability through prospection, credit control and improved customer service expertise.
- Carry out effective planning to always ensure availability of parts.
- Asset stock management through monitoring stock levels and stock days
- Develop various procurement channels to be able to respond to customer needs within the shortest possible time.
- Initiate and develop plans to improve sales turnovers and ensures adherence to plans and budgets.
- Develop team competency and ensures competence assessments and timely reviews are carried out.
- Review and report on market/competitor and pricing information in a timely manner.
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures (PACI)
- Implement and monitor ANZEN.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Procurement & Supply Chain Management or Business Degree Majoring in Sales & Marketing
- A minimum of three years of experience in a large industrial/ commercial organization
- Warehouse management knowledge.
- Five years’ experience in mechanical engineering disciplines with at least 3 years at supervisory level in the automotive industry
- Good knowledge and experience in supply chain management
- Good product knowledge
- Leadership/Supervisory skills
- Salesmanship skills
- Attention to details.
- Customer centricity
- Agility.
- Pro-active drive to plan and out-source parts, coordinate parts sales and warehouse management
