Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF) is a social enterprise which aims to accelerate clean, accessible and sustainable cooking energy for vulnerable communities through innovations for products, approaches to behavioural change and benchmarking good practices. We believe that a mixed solution can accelerate clean energy uptake to reduce the effects of energy poverty and bridge the gap of energy and poverty.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, identifying key performance indicators, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide strategic insights to facilitate informed decision-making processes.
- Lead the development of comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial models tailored to the manufacturing/production division.
- Diligently monitor and analyse budget variances, offering strategic insights and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cost Accounting:
- Oversee end-to-end cost accounting for the manufacturing process, conducting rigorous analysis of production costs, variances, and overall profitability.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to optimize cost structures without compromising quality.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, extracting valuable data and insights for comprehensive cost analysis that directly influences strategic decision-making processes.
Inventory Management:
- Take charge of managing and reconciling inventory accounts, ensuring precise valuation and efficient accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare meticulous monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements specific to the manufacturing division, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute significantly to the preparation of detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing a nuanced understanding of financial performance.
- Deliver insightful commentary on financial results, highlighting key drivers and areas for improvement.
Sustainability Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive business analysis, including an assessment of financial performance, identification of growth opportunities, and the formulation of strategic recommendations.
- Apply advanced analytics to evaluate how operational decisions impact financial results and sustainability objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Hold CPA or ACCA certification (Level 1), showcasing advanced expertise in the field.
- Demonstrate a track record of proven experience in cost accounting and budgeting.
- Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills through examples of complex financial challenges overcome.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, highlighting instances where precision had a significant impact.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrated ability to utilize technology for enhanced financial analysis.
- Display effective communication and interpersonal skills, with concrete examples of successful collaboration and communication within a team environment.
