Job Summary: The Supervisor – Cash and Treasury Back Office will ensure that cash and treasury back office controls , transactions , confirmations and settlements are well mitigated as per laid down policies and procedures of the bank and Bank of Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with branches on cash needs, cash in transit and Bank of Uganda in line with the cash operating guidelines on regular basis
- Ensuring that cash insurance limits are adhered too and periodic reviews made to meet branch needs. Regular system updates are done as per insurance limits approved by management.
- Organize regular cash meetings to sort out issues arising with the department, management and partners
- Ensure that knowledge gaps and team trainings are closed among staff who are in direct or indirect supervision regularly.
- Ensure that branches conduct vault, teller and ATM spot checks as per laid down guidelines
- Overseeing treasury backoffice operations, no delays on a daily basis.
- Support branches with tools of trade, core banking system rights, posting Swift, RTGs and EFTs and thereon recommend change in policy and procedures depending on the changing business environment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by your supervisors.
- Prepare and submit timely and regular performance reports to the Manager Back Office Operations and other stake holders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Four years of experience in a banking sector at a supervision level
- Additional qualification in ACI operations certificate in treasury back office is an added advantage
- Good communication skills.

- Team player
