Cairo Bank Uganda Limited was incorporated on 11th July, 1994. The Bank was formerly known as Cairo International Bank owned by the three leading Egyptian Banks namely; Banque Du Caire, Bank Misr and National Bank of Egypt. In 2019, it became a fully owned subsidiary of Banque Du Caire (BDC). The shareholder consolidation in 2019 was on the back of expanding its presence across Africa whilst providing an entry point into the COMESA market.
Job Summary: The Manager – Products Innovation & Transactional Banking will be responsible for driving product innovation and utilization in collaboration with strategic decision-makers and business teams and discovering and evaluating unmet customer needs, important trends, and new opportunities for business growth in targeted market segments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research: Translate research findings into actionable communication for decision-makers and other stakeholders and design prototype solutions for customer innovation, customer experience, and similar types of initiatives.
- Technology: Leverage technology to identify opportunities that can drive product performance through evaluation of competitor activity, product category performance and revenue
- Product Performance: Work with the business teams and Branches to drive product uptake/utilization and to maintain an overview of the product’s performance.
- Liaise with Marketing: Provide strategic direction for new marketing concepts and strategies. Also, Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure that the CBU product offering contains on-brand material for top products in the range for direct implementation in targeted market segments.
- Idea Generation: Oversee internal and external ideation programs to generate continuous new and different products compared to what exists in the marketplace.
- Reports: Perform trend analyses; and scenario building; synthesize insights and identify opportunities based on competitors, customer, social and technological forces.
- Product Development Committee (PDC): Contribute to the Product Development Committee by executing unique and differentiating product concepts to support the approval of new products, plans, and tests with customers. Work with the PDC to develop a new product business case and recommend pricing guidelines for the new products.
- Product Enhancement: Learn and understand the complete product processes, to directly manage the development of sampling, specific sensitization formats, seasonal products and where necessary line extensions to ensure that individual products cumulatively drive incremental product income margin.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field.
- At least two years of work experience preferably in the financial services industry.
