Job Summary: Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Office Assistant will be responsible for providing professional, efficient and effective Office support services for the Alight Kampala Office and performing other duties as assigned time to time by the supervisor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain Offices, office assets and office environment, ensuring they are always clean and conducive for staff working in it.
- Manage staff refreshments and prepare tea and lunch meals at the office daily for staff and ALIGHT guests.
- Support the Administrative Assistant with bulk printing and photocopying documents when need arises.
- Support with managing the reception desk to receive and attend to visitors when need arises.
- Support during the inventory management.
- Support in events management and significant meetings.
- Report on time to the supervisor of the area concerned if any maintenance repairs is needed.
- Update and maintain record of monthly office and kitchen supplies and consumables tracker to ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure lights, utilities and facilities in general office areas are switched off, or powered down, including lighting in common areas.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Ordinary Level Education
- Experience in preparing muti-cultural and executive meals.
- Experience in working with multi-cultural environments.
- At least four years of experience in a similar or related role.
- Certificate in House keeping or Catering is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Fluency in spoken English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. (verbal, written, telephone)
- Ability to work in a team.
- Confidentiality
- Ability to work long hours when need arises.
- Dependability and attention to detail
- Good customer care and self-presentation
