Job Summary: The Corporate Communications Manager will
manage all internal and external communication; by coordinating information
flow from the various stakeholders and ensuring accurate and timely
dissemination companywide. This ensures that the company’s image is portrayed
positively as a responsible corporate citizen.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as single point of contact for other departments to provide
support on internal communication. - Plan, generate and oversee all internal campaigns and competitions
to keep staff up to speed on MTN products and services - Create and manage the CEO’s monthly Updates Magazine
- Publishing the Company‘s corporate magazines (Y’ello) and monthly
editorial contributions to the Group Y’ello magazine - Submit and contribute articles to Group for the weekly Group Yello
Buzz - Managing, implementing and coordinating communication meetings like
quarterly CEO meetings, Staff forums, H.R Road-shows and other meetings
from time to time - Managing the Internal communications budget as allocated.
- Manage the archiving of all PR/Internal communications material for
the company through a centralized data base - Draft press releases, speeches and other documentation for MTN
events - Liaise with the media to handle interview requests and channel or
media queries to the appropriate channels
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Corporate Communications
Manager job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mass
Communications or related field - Five years of experience in public relations, communications,
marketing or media house environment - General telecom business knowledge
- Administrative management skills
- Media and Communications skills
- Stakeholder Management

- Ability to work under
extreme pressure - Good Interpersonal skills,
ability to listen and observe - Written and verbal
