Job Summary: The Treasury Sales Officer is responsible for effectively selling the Bank’s depository and treasury management services to existing and prospective clients, either in conjunction with Relationship Managers or on an individual basis, achieving deposit and fee income goals and solidifying customer retention
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow Treasury Product Revenue through direct sales
- Utilize networking, community, and public relations activities to identify prospective Treasury Management client opportunities
- Perform product research and identify appropriate solutions for customer requirements and satisfaction.
- Coordinate with assigned Lending Officers to support and develop relationships with business clients and partners
- Manage client calls and contacts and meet all assigned goals
- Understand client business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to become a trusted advisor and to identify solutions for customer pain points
- Understand our competitors’ environment, capabilities, and gaps to effectively position HFB Treasury Services for success
- Prepare sales analysis report and sales proposals for client presentations
- Participate on client calls with Relationship Managers/Officers and analyze client Treasury services requirements
- Perform risk monitoring for Treasury products and services and initiate credit and risk approvals
- Assist Treasury clients with product training and product demonstrations as needed.
- Manage work of assigned Treasury Sales Officer(s) for efficient onboarding and exceptional client experience
- Support Onboarding and Treasury Support teams as needed
- Track sales activities and timelines to ensure that the deliverables within onboarding project plans are met and are on-time
- Establish a daily Treasury newsletter which summarizes the daily market activities and indicative movement of market variables, prices, interest rates and inflation.
Financial Responsibility
- Accountable for the growth of Treasury dealing customers and,
- Growth of Treasury income
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course
- ACI certification
- A Sales qualification is an added advantage.
- A thorough understanding of treasury products
- A sales and relationship management background
- Good foreign currency trading skills
- Good money market and securities trading skills
- A clear understanding of financial markets
Business Behaviours

- Relationship management skills
- A high level of integrity
- Proficiency in computer knowledge
- Excellent numeric skills
