Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst will support in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, with timely payment processes and effective funds management in accordance with the Baylor Finance Policies & Procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficient Mobile Money Float management.
- Disbursements effectively followed up between Yo Uganda and Baylor Uganda respective accounts.
- Swift processing of Mobile money transactions.
- Proper accounting procedures for Mobile money followed at all stages.
- Satisfactory Accountability for all mobile money transactions.
- Reconciliations done on a timely basis by close of each day.
- Enhance compliance through continuous training.
- Review of Standard Operating Procedures on mobile money whenever need arises and dissemination of the same.
- Provision of support to team and liaison between Yo Uganda and Baylor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
- Membership to professional organizations i.e., ACCA or CPA (U) or a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting related qualification.
- At least six years of working experience with at least Four years’ experience in the Finance department of a reputable Non-Governmental Organization.
